Here at Powers, our mission is to help create a better planet for tomorrow.  Now more than ever helping our ecosystem thrive is our top priority.  In addition to our family grown annuals; we locally source from Long Island farms to provide you with the best quality plants year round.  Shop from our native plants to help sustain Long Islands wildlife that keeps our gardens and farms thriving.

James is a third generation horticulturist who grew up working at his grandparents & parents growing facilities.  We opened up our very own retail Garden Center in 2016.  We're more than just small business owners.  We grew up here, we live here and our future is invested here.

We love this industry and running our own business.

Horticulture and agriculture are such an important part of our lives.  It’s not just about decorating homes, but living with nature and understanding how we are part of it.

We fill our gardens with native plants that benefit the pollinators and the wildlife that live here.  They in return help the herbs, fruits and vegetables that we grow and eat everyday.

And of course we fill the home with as many house plants as possible for the air-purifying and mental health benefits that they provide.

We love to educate our customers about how all these things work together and to understand how to live with nature in and around their homes.

This is more than a business to us, it’s a way of life and we hope you’ll come and enjoy the way we roll at our store.

Give our happy pup Wrigley a scratch or two and she’ll love you till the end of time
